01. What exactly is AmeriPlan®?

AmeriPlan® is not insurance—it’s a Discount Medical Plans Organization (DMPO) that gives you instant, no-paperwork savings on healthcare services. By enrolling in an AmeriPlan® membership, you gain access to a nationwide network of dentists, vision centers, pharmacies, chiropractors, and telehealth doctors who have agreed to offer their services at pre-negotiated, discounted rates. You simply show your digital membership card at the time of service and pay the reduced fee—no deductibles, no waiting periods, and no medical exams required.

You can start using any of these plans day one once you have paid for membership, because your new membership info will be emailed to you immediately. However, you must wait 3 days after activation to access the Bill Negotiator service.

For the Dental Plus plan there’s no waiting period—you can start saving as soon as your membership is active. Deluxe Plus members need to wait just three business days to use the Hospital Advocacy benefit; all other discounts begin immediately.

Dental Plus is $19.95 per month for an entire household; Deluxe Plus is $39.95 per month. A “household” includes everyone who permanently lives at your address—parents, kids, relatives, or significant others. Payments are made by debit/credit card each month.

AmeriPlan® Health Benefit Plans are not insurance; they provide discounted access to care. This website is operated by an independent, authorized AmeriPlan Benefit Consultant—we handle education and enrollment, while AmeriPlan® processes your membership and maintains the provider network.
